How these numbers are produced
- What counts. One click on a product card or a shop's website link, at the moment the redirect fires. Bots, prefetches and repeated clicks from the same page view are not filtered out, so treat the figure as traffic, not as unique humans.
- How to find us in your own analytics. Every outbound link carries
utm_source=desiprice,utm_medium=referral,utm_campaign=price-comparison, plusutm_contentwith the product name. In Shopify that appears under Analytics → conversion by marketing campaign; in Google Analytics or any UTM-aware tool it lands in acquisition → referral. TheRefererheader is passed through as well, so even analytics that ignore campaign tags will showdesiprice.com.au. - What we do not do. We do not alter a shop's own URL beyond adding tags that are missing, we do not sell placement in these results, and no price or discount here is influenced by who pays us.
- Why the link is cloaked. It lets us count the hop and repair a dead product link in one place. It is not a ranking tactic, and it does not change what the shopper sees.
